Every time the controller turned off the computer locked up. For the life of me I could not get the wireless dongle to work properly. I bought both the play and charge kit and the wireless dongle (Xbox One controller). I tried unchecking the power down device when not in use settings in device manager, does not work, tried a whole lot of BIOS settings, even reset it to defaults, no avail. With the Xbox One controllers you can get away with just using the plan and charge kit as a wired solution. Replugging the wireless receiver works as well, but the controller now moves to player 2, then player 3 on the second replug, and so onĮDIT: I suspect some kind of USB/power problem. once the controller turns off, I have to restart the PC to make it work so the receiver works on the First instance.

The only way I could make windows 10 detect the controller again is by signing out and singing in again, or restarting the computer. I have the latest version of Windows 10, I have a problem with the wireless receiver for xbox 360 controllers. but windows 10 does not detect it anymore, theres no USB plugged in/removed sound as well if I try to turn it on and off. I turn on my Xbox 360 controller again(for the second, third, fourth time, etc). then I turn the controller off, the USB removed device will be heard. Finally, power on your controller again and then follow the correct procedure to re-sync it with the. Make sure the receivers have not gathered excess dust, and then plug them back into the PlayStation 2 and then turn it on. USB plugged in sound can be heard when I first start the controller. Unplug the wireless receivers from the front of the PlayStation 2, turn the controllers off, and then turn the system off.

Whenever I startup the computer, the first 'connection' of the controller works. I have 2 receivers and many controllers and they work fine with my laptop(windows 10 latest as well) You absolutely definitely need the Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows if you wish to use your Xbox 360 controller on your PC. So the standard wireless devices in your computer can’t work with the Xbox 360 wireless controller. it is a software is afaik, because the receiver and the controllers works fine with my laptop. The Xbox 360 controller uses a proprietary wireless protocol, and NOT Bluetooth. I have the latest version of Windows 10, I have a problem with the wireless receiver for xbox 360 controllers.
